Fitting instructions:
Schwabenmax fitting instructions rider footrest offset for
Model:K1200R , Sport,K1200S, K1300R, K1300S
Please follow these installation instructions to avoid any mistakes.
No impact tools, crowbars or force of any kind are required!!!
Fitting is easy, even for non-professionals, and requires the right
tools, a little technical understanding and sensitivity.
Otherwise, we recommend having the installation carried out in a
specialised workshop!
Installation time incl. adjustment work approx. 40-60 minutes
depending on the circumstances
1. place the motorbike securely on the main stand, alternatively on
the rear wheel stand.
When mounting upright on the side stand, please engage 1st gear to
avoid slipping.
2. the left-hand side is very easy to fit
Please use Loktide threadlocker on all screws.
2/1. Unscrew the original catch on the frame.
Left-hand side is easier to fit on the K1300
on the K 1200 models the gear lever deflection must be changed
For both types, the gear lever must be set differently using the
adjusting screws
and/or the gearing (on the engine side). On the gearing, 2 - 3
teeth are sufficient.
K1300 Models:
Mounting gear lever extension - please mount with loktide.
The thread of the shift rod can be adjusted a maximum of 4 turns for
fine adjustment.
If this is not sufficient, please adjust the lever on the motor side
by one detent.
K 1200 models:
On the K1200 R - S models, for space reasons with the brake lever /
exhaust clamp,
the 5 mm spacers must be inserted between the frame and the offset
plates on the right-hand side
The brake lever must be adjusted approx. 5 - 7 mm higher to
compensate, depending on the shoe size
Screw on gear lever.
Unscrew the lower ball joint (M10 and M6 shift rod).
Screw on base plate M8 - 15 Nm ( Loktide )
Shift the gear lever on the motor side by 2 or 3 teeth, depending on
how the shift gate is aligned, normal or reverse shifting is aligned
upwards or downwards.
Shift lever with 1 x washer and 1 x spring washer against the base
plate.
Loosely screw on the gear lever first and test or adjust the correct
height of the gear lever with the motorbike boots.
Check all screws again and tighten if necessary.
M8 with approx. 15 -20 Nm and Locktide threadlocker
M6 with approx. 8 Nm and Loktide threadlocker
Right side brake assembly
2/2 The copper brake line must be pulled down and back a little, there
is just enough space.
3. loosely screw the driver's footrest to the new
base plates (leave 2 threads open)
4. then screw the whole thing evenly to the main frame, first tighten
each screw approx.
3-4 threads, then tighten evenly, approx. 15 - 20
Nm.
